Dr. Carol Lindstrom is a parapsycholgist from Duke University, whom is often called on by the CIA to deal with hauntings.
Chucky: Season 3 (2023)[]
Following the murder of James Collins, Carol is called in by Pryce to clean the White House of its evil spirits, that being Charles Lee Ray. As her regular medium is unavailable, she brings another psychic medium Timmy Nash along with her.
She begins setting up her EVP equipment in the Oval Office, and they are soon met by Jake, Devon, Lexy and Grant. She explains to them that the souls of those who died in the White House are still here, including that of the one who killed them, Chucky. When Jake asks what is going on with the ghost sightings, she tells him that the accumulated weight of every terrible decision made in the White House served as kindling. Once Chucky started committing violent murders, it acted as the spark to erupt the White House with supernatural energy.
In order to persuade Charles' ghost to move on and find peace, Carol announces that they must have a séance. Although Devon insists Chucky has no "better nature" to appeal to, Jake is convinced they can do it through Good Chucky.
Death[]
Carol's death.
During the evening, they move forward with the séance in the Oval Office. She instructs them not to break the circle once Charles is summoned, as the sudden discharge of psychic energy could be catastrophic, both living and dead.
Using Timmy as a conduit, they successfully make contact with Charles. When she asks to help him, he tells them that he remains because he has unfinished business, that being Devon, Jake and Lexy. Carol tries getting in touch with the good in Charles, telling him that he doesn't have to be who he was while he was alive. However, he ignores her pleas and causes blood to rain down from the fire sprinklers. They finally break the séance circle when Charles lifts the EVP speaker into the air, throwing it down to the bloody ground and electrocuting Carol to death.
