- "You did this didn't you, you sick son of a bitch!"
- ―Ellis blaming Andy for Shelton's death.
P. Ellis is a cadet major at the Kent Military school. He is Shelton's right hand man, and follows any orders he gives him.
Child's Play 3 (1991)[]
During morning formation, Ellis makes sure all of the students are present and accounted for so Shelton can take over. He then aids Shelton in the afternoon marching drill. When Shelton orders Andy to fallout, he is confused at what to do. Ellis shoves the other students out of the way to get into Andy's face, repeating the order and hitting him in the back of the head. He follows Andy out of formation, still in his face, before heading back to the other students.
During the night, Shelton's Good Guy doll goes missing. In order to weed out the thief, he and Ellis force the students to walk around in circles outside in the rain. After Colonel Cochrane tells them to finish their exercise in an hour, Ellis takes over and orders the students to carry their rifles above their heads, and eventually makes them run in circles.
When Kent's annual War Games begin, Shelton is placed in charge of the blue team, with Ellis at his side. When Shelton discovers his reconnaissance map is missing, he decides that his team must leave their camp now, instead of at dawn like they originally intended. As Ellis gets the team ready to leave, he notices Whitehurst hesitating. When he questions him on the missing map, he discovers that his tentmate Andy is missing, and realizes he is the thief. The team leaves camp to track Andy down, eventually cornering him and Tyler. However, Kristen has not returned and a mysterious voice begins using her radio, demanding they come to the old Jeep and bring him Tyler in exchange for Kristen.
Shelton takes his team to the old Jeep, following behind Andy and Tyler. As they make the exchange, the red team arrives. The two teams begins firing at each other, unaware that Chucky switched the red team's paintballs with live rounds. Shelton is killed when Major Rawlings shoots him in the chest. Angered, Ellis accuses Andy of causing Shelton's death, jumping on top of him and punching him repeatedly. As Kristen tries to separate them, Whitehurst notices an armed grenade thrown near them. He sacrifices himself to contain the grenade blast, saving his fellow cadets. With the confusion of the whole situation, Ellis lets Andy go and orders Rawlings to get Clark on the radio and get a medic up to where they are.
