- "It's just... it's a weird coincidence, Henry finding a doll with that name."
- ―James about Henry's new doll.
Joseph Collins is the youngest son of the President of the United States. He died the previous winter after a terminal cancer diagnosis.
Chucky: Season 3 (2023)[]
After Joseph's death his family is devastated by the loss, especially his older brother Henry. The news of his passing is reported in the newspaper, where Chucky sees this and realizes this is the perfect way for him to infiltrate the White House. As Joseph's family mourns at his grave, Chucky hides behind the tombstone. Henry spots the Good Guy doll and picks him up, allowing Chucky to introduce himself as "Joseph". After Henry is allowed to take the doll back to the White House with him, Chucky is able to convince him that he is actually his dead brother Joseph.
As Joseph's favourite holiday was Halloween, Charlotte organizes a Gala to be held in the White House's ballroom to raise over $10 million to help people who have lost loved ones to cancer. At the party, James sees a young boy standing in the middle of the ballroom. This boy is Joseph's ghost, wearing his Phantom of the Opera costume from last year's Halloween, before he died. Following after Joseph as he walks through the crowd of dancing people, James eventually catches up to him as he stops momentarily. James tries to talk to the boy, but he does not respond and quickly disappears into the crowd.
The day after the Halloween Gala, James holds a press conference to talk about the tragedy. During his speech, Joseph appears in the audience, again wearing the Phantom of the Opera costume. He takes off his mask, repeatedly shouting "Daddy" and "No". James becomes disorientated and he runs out of the room.
The following evening, James again hears Joseph calling out for him while walking through the Executive Residence. He follows the voice to Joseph's old room, and sits down on the bed. Once again he hears the voice, and looks up to see Joseph standing in the corner of the room. He warns his father to "look out", but is too late as Chucky smashes a piggy bank into the back of his head, knocking him to the ground. From there, Chucky gouges out his eyes and kills him.
When the White House is set on fire, Grant witnesses James and Joseph's ghosts staring back at him from the building's window before they are engulfed by flame.
