Panic Room is the sixth episode in the third season of Chucky.

Synopsis[]

Armed with new weapons, Chucky aims to become the most prolific serial killer in history.

Plot[]

During the night Henry visits Chucky, who is now wheelchair bound. He divulges to the boy that he wants to leave his mark while he's still alive so people will remember him after he's dead. He wants to play a new game with Henry, and instructs him from this point on to never let him go.

Charlotte finds her husband James' corpse in their deceased son Joseph's room. She and Pryce both witness blood manifesting on the wall, writing out "Chucky did it". Pryce then leaves the room to make a call, and Charlotte stays in Joseph's room. She is surprised as two agents enter to take James' body away. When they try to make her get into Joseph's dresser while they remove James, she runs away. Coop and Pryce stop her in the hallway, trying to warn her not to wake her boys. Instead, she runs to Grant's room, telling him and Henry that they are going on an impromptu vacation to visit their aunt in Chicago right now and packing their belongings. However, she is pulled away by Pryce, who explains that the death of the president cannot get out to the public and she and her sons are not permitted to leave.

In the morning, Henry wheels Chucky out to have breakfast with his family, and they believe the aged doll is just make-up. When Grant asks his mother what happened last night, Charlotte brushes it off as a nightmare and she just overreacted. She is then called into her office to speak with Pryce. As she demands to remove her family from the White House, he reminds her that she is complicit in covering up these murders and they cannot expose the truth now that the president is dead. He outlines that a government paranormal expert is coming in to help their investigation, and until they can decide how to announce James' death to the public, he has hired a body double to take his place, a man named Randall Jenkins.

Jake and Devon return from their trip to Georgia, and reveal to Lexy that Chucky is cursed to die without a chance of resurrecting himself again. Although she is distraught that she may not have a chance to find out where Chucky has hidden Caroline, she informs them that they are all going to the White House for dinner with Grant. She asks him to play the piano for her while Jake and Devon scope out the Executive Residence for Chucky. He plays Don't Fear the Reaper, and they sing a duet. However, they are interrupted by Charlotte.

During dinner, Grant asks when his father is coming home but is simply told that he is sick. When he questions why Charlotte told him that he was at work in the morning and now he's sick, she quickly leaves the dining room to smoke a cigarette. She spots Randall being brought into the Executive Residence, and catches up to him in his new room. There is a lot of medical equipment stashed inside, as they are letting the media believe the president is sick. Before exiting the room, Charlotte instructs Randall to not let her kids see him. She returns to Joseph's old room to finish her cigarette, but is scared off by the James' ghost.

While carried by Henry, Chucky instructs him to take him to a room in the Executive Residence where a gun is hidden in a wall safe. From there, he leads the boy to Randall's room and holds him hostage. He has Randall take the three of them to the Situation Room, and shoots the agent operating the elevator when he attempts to relay Randall's location. He then shoots another agent guarding the Situation Room door, and kills him by stabbing him in the eye with James' pen. Inside the Situation Room, Chucky forces Randall to contact the North American Aerospace Defense Command, and uses James' eyeball to pass the verification. Now with complete access to the nuclear missiles, Chucky sets his targets for Moscow, Pyongyang, and the North Pole.

Now when they are alone, Lexy decides to take this opportunity to tell Grant about Chucky and why they lied to him. They convince Grant to help them, and make their way to the elevator, where they find the agent's corpse as well as "Chucky did it" written in blood on the wall. They arrive at the Situation Room just in time, before the missiles are launched. Henry lets them inside, where Devon records Chucky on his phone declaring that he will be forever known as the greatest serial killer to ever live.

Before his plan is fulfilled, Coop and Pryce enter the Situation Room, and Coop shoots Chucky through the heart. Chucky manages to launch the nuclear missile to the North Pole before he dies, disintegrating into dust. While Pryce scrambles to lock the White House down, the ghost of Charles Lee Ray manifests in the hallway.
