Sarah Pierce is a woman who had been acquainted with Charles Lee Ray in her past, and her actions against him are what led to the chain of events that would lead to Child's Play.
Curse of Chucky (2013)[]
Shortly before the events of Child's Play, Sarah was a happy wife and mother with her daughter Barb, with another on the way. But her happy life would become shattered when she and her husband were introduced to a man named Charles. She was oblivious to his infatuation with her, and how it was growing to obsession. His madness would soon come to light as her husband is found murdered. On the night of November 9th, 1988, after her husband's funeral, Charles kidnaps Sarah and holds her hostage in his safe house.
He surrounds her with sunflowers, and tells her he is going to pick up Barb from daycare. Sarah attempts to get him to stay, telling him she wants to spend more time with him alone. He retorts that that's a "selfish fucking attitude for a mother to take", and asks if she doesn't want to share him with Barb. When she shakes her head no, he asks if she is going to keep him from the new baby too, as that would be very hurtful to him. Suddenly much to Charles' surprise, the police quickly have his safe house surrounded. Feeling betrayed about Sarah destroying their "family", Charles stabs her in the stomach hitting the baby inside. Charles then flees the safe house and is chased down by Mike Norris, where he is fatally shot in a toy store.
Afterwards, Sarah became traumatized by what happened to her and what happened to Nica, due to being born paralyzed as the result of the stab wound. She kept her daughter always with her, attempting to protect her from being hurt, and Nica lived with Sarah for her whole life. Before her death, Nica believed that her mother was doing fine as she was on medication and started painting again.
Death[]
One day, Sarah is sent a strange package in the mail, a Good Guy doll named Chucky. Though both mother and daughter are bewildered by the package, they forget about it and throw it away. Later that night, Nica is awakened to her mother screaming and discovers her body on the floor. She is holding a pair of scissors that had been thrust into her abdomen, causing Nica to believe that her mother committed suicide. However, it is later revealed that Chucky stabbed Sarah causing her to fall off the balcony, finally getting his revenge after 25 years.

- Sarah is Chucky's 33rd victim since Child's Play.
- Before her death, Sarah was shown to be a painter and mostly painted sunflowers. Unknown to her daughters, they represented a traumatic memory. During her abduction by Charles, she was surrounded by many sunflowers that he had gotten for her.
- Sarah and her daughter Nica could be considered the last victims of Charles Lee Ray's killing spree before he transferred his soul into a Good Guy doll.
