Chucky: Season 1 (2021)[]
After the death of Lucas, Detective Peyton and Evans arrive at the Wheeler house to speak with Jake. Turning on his audio recorder, Peyton and Evans question Jake about a break-in at the school the previous night where a doll was stolen. They are then interrupted by Jake's uncle Logan, who takes his nephew to live at his house.
Some time later, Peyton and Evans are called to Logan's home where his maid Annie has been found dead. The two detectives begin to question Jake's involvement, and Peyton plants the idea that someone might have pushed Annie into the knives. Detective Evans asks Bree and Logan if Jake had any problems with Annie, as this is the second "freak accident" he's been involved with.
While patrolling the Cross' house after the fire, Peyton hears noises coming from inside and finds Jake and Lexy on the balcony. Picking up the disfigured Chucky doll off the ground, he remarks that Lexy's father asked him to bring the doll back for her sister Caroline. They try to tell him not to take the doll, but he is already leaving as he orders the kids to come with him. He drives them back to the hospital, with Chucky in the front seat and the kids in the back.
Death[]
At the hospital, Peyton takes Chucky inside and leaves the kids locked in the police car. He stops in the hallway to grab a snack from a vending machine, and starts banging on it when it won't dispense anything. He reaches his hand into the machine, commenting to Chucky that it is their little secret. When he is unsuccessful, he sighs and continues on his way to Caroline's room.
Placing Chucky on the side table, he starts rummaging through the food left there before making his way over to another box of brownies left by Caroline's bed. With this opportunity, Chucky throws a scalpel into Peyton's back and he falls down. The knife pushes through his spinal cord as he lands on it, causing him to be paralyzed. Chucky walks over to him and grabs an assortment of discarded needles from the medical waste box. Stabbing him repeatedly in the chest, blood begins to pour from his eyes, ears, nails, and nose until he finally dies.
Trivia[]
- Detective Peyton is Chucky's 51st victim since Child's Play.
- Before stabbing Peyton with the needles, Chucky tells him "you might feel a little prick". This was the tagline for Cult of Chucky.
