- "Oh, that. The one I got from Vivian Van Pelt. That ring is worth five to six grand easy!"
- ―Chucky to Tiffany about the ring he took from Vivian after killing her.
Vivian Van Pelt is a victim of Charles Lee Ray during the Lakeshore Strangler years of the 1980's.
Biography[]
She was killed by Charles Lee Ray, and her body was dumped in Forest Creek River. Two years after her demise her body was finally found, dragged from the water. Charles had stolen her $5,000-$6,000 ring, which he planned to sell, but left it on the mantle in his apartment on the night he was gunned down by Detective Mike Norris. The ring is found by Tiffany, who mistakenly thinks it is an engagement ring and believes he was planning on marrying her.
Bride of Chucky (1998)[]
Tiffany brings up Vivian's ring to Chucky, as she wore it every year since Charles’ apparent death. However, Chucky reveals the ring actually belonged to Vivian, who was one of his victims when he was the Lakeshore Strangler, and that he had planned to sell the ring. This revelation shocks Tiffany as she thought it was an engagement ring Charles was going to give to her.
Trivia[]
- She is possibly indirectly mentioned by Grace Poole in Child's Play 2 when she quotes, "He (Charles Lee Ray) murdered a dozen people".
